SWAN THERAPY SERVICE
(up to 12 month programme)
The Swan Therapy Service is a mode of therapeutic provision for highly vulnerable, at-risk families. It is based on systemic models of working and incorporates individual therapeutic packages with close supervision of professionals and parents.
The overriding ethos is of valuing families. The Swan intensive therapeutic package is based on the key idea that families benefit from therapeutic intervention in the communities in which they live, with therapists who are matched to their own individual needs, and where their circumstances are acknowledged in a holistic way. Typically these interventions are funded by the Local Authority and have been mandated by the Court.
